What is Newcomers Club of Raleigh?
Newcomers Club of Raleigh (NCoR) is a membership club open to you if you arrived in the Greater Raleigh area within the past 5 years or have experienced a life change that has you seeking new activities and friends.
We have something for everyone: men, women, singles and couples. Check out our Interest Groups and visit Membership to see how you can join the fun!
Let’s meet at First Friday Coffee!
This free monthly event is open to members and non-members interested in meeting others, hearing interesting speakers and getting answers to burning questions. Please come have coffee on us!
WHEN: First Friday of each month (except July & Nov)
10 am – 10:30 Coffee and Socializing
10:30 am – Noon Program
WHERE: North Raleigh United Methodist Church, 8501 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh, NC 27615
(We aren’t affiliated with the church; they just graciously allow us space to meet!)
Weather Cancellation Policy: To keep everyone safe, all Club activities are cancelled when Wake County Public Schools are closed specifically due to weather.

Our History & Mission
In 1957, the YMCA and the City Hostess Service sponsored the creation of NCoR as a 501(c)7 non-profit organization. In 1987, an amendment to the Articles of Incorporation established NCoR as an independent entity while retaining its 501(c)7 non-profit status.
We offer individuals and couples new to Raleigh and the surrounding communities the chance to meet others and build lasting friendships by engaging in mutually interesting social, educational and community activities. The club encourages civic interest, volunteerism and social interaction through numerous and varied small group activities.
