SUMMARY:Headed Out
DESCRIPTION:Johnston Mill Preserve is a treat providing shady woods of Piedmont Forest with more than four miles of walking trails. You will soon forget how close we are to I-40 and the heart of Chapel Hill. During the first half of the 1700’s the Johnston family operated gristmills\, the remnants of which might be spotted on the creek as we hike. Our 3.0-3.5 mile hike will include plenty of benches to hydrate and take in the nature.\nGood walking-in-the-woods shoes\, sunscreen\, mosquito repellant\, & water highly recommended.\nAfterwards we plan to have lunch at the most delightful New Hope Market and Grill–\n6117 Highway 86 South 27614 just down the road. \n*********Please sign up on the website so we don’t leave you in the parking lot :))************ \nElizabeth Greenlee 919-605-4660. edcecg77@yahoo.com\nHelen Simmons 781-405-2536. helens750@gmail.com
