SUMMARY:Wine Therapy
DESCRIPTION:For April we will visit a spot that was brought to my attention by Beer Tasting:  Blackbird Brewery in Wake Forest.  Turns out these folks have Wine Flight Wednesdays when one can purchase three 5 oz. pours for $20.  Unfortunately\, there is no food served here\, though occasionally they will have food trucks.  Keep checking back and as they fill out their April calendar; I will report if a food truck is scheduled.  Other options are neighboring businesses including Cape Fear Seafood Company\,  Romeo’s Pizza\, Wayback Burgers\, TDLLO Sushi and Ramen\, and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. \nI can’t wait for us to enjoy good weather\, a lovely location and something just a bit more “chill” than the spots we normally go.  Please join us for good wine and lots of therapy\, if needed! \nOnsite parking is ample.  Please RSVP by getting a no-cost ticket here.

DESCRIPTION:For March\, the beer tasters head to a new (for us) venue\, Blackbird Brewing in Wake Forest! Blackbird boasts that its craft beer is “no mere beverage”. “Each drop\, each pint\, is a form of history\, anthropology and sociology.” They brew “authentic European styles\, expressive IPAs\, tart fruit beers\, stouts and barleywines”.  Additionally\, they offer cider\, wine\, non-alcoholic beers and soft drinks; in fact\, we shall be there for wine-flight Wednesday. And we’ll also have an opportunity to learn crokinole\, a dexterity game described as a mix of table-top marbles\, shuffleboard and curling! \nFood: Blackbird does not serve food.
